Toronto's Roy Woods has announced an August 5 release date for his forthcoming LP — and has lifted his second anticipatory single "Bad Bad" ahead of the release.
Out today via OVO Sound, the single chronicles the end of a longstanding and tumultuous relationship. "It's a song about when I learned to feel love again but realized that I wasn't ready for what that came with," Woods said in a statement of the track, which is built around dark, bass-heavy production and sultry guitar tones.
"Bad Bad" follows May's "Insecure," with both singles slated to appear on Mixed Emotions — his first full-length since his 2017 critically acclaimed debut Say Less and his 2020 EP Dem Times.
