Folksy Canadian project Reuben and the Dark have announced a new album. In Lieu of Light, the project's fourth full-length, is out September 9 through Arts & Crafts.

To go along with the announcement, Reuben and the Dark have shared the melancholic "Wanderer." The accompanying Super 8 video was filmed by Jay Lawrence and edited by Carly Foulkes.

Project leader Rueben Bullock said in a statement, "'Wanderer' is a reflection on loneliness. I like the duality of it. Seems to be something we all worry about a lot lately, being alone... But also it's a state that has always been a platform for growth for me. This was a quiet piano tune at first. I left the house during a recording session and returned to Brock Geiger completely transforming it. I never thought this song could be up-tempo! But I love how it sounds now."

The album was recorded by Brock Geiger at Reuben's home studio in Joshua Tree, by Graham Lessard at Calgary's OCL Studios, and by Joel Shearer in Los Angeles.

All three tracks from the recent Coming Like a Storm EP are included in the 11-song full-length.
