Red Hot Chili Peppers released their second album of 2022, Return of the Dream Canteen, today, and to mark the occasion, they've shared a video for the track "The Drummer."
The song is a departure from your average your RHCP material, as John Frusciante's guitar takes a backseat to a progression of warm synth chords. In the video, directed by Phillip R Lopez, the Chili Peppers perform the song in an intimate concert while some breakdancers bust a move. In an apparent nod to the title, drummer Chad Smith appears to be wearing a rubber mask of his own face, although it's never called attention to.
