Calgary punkers PMMA have been slowly but surely carving out a niche as one of western Canada's most interesting bands thanks to their unique take on synth punk. That's perfectly demonstrated on their debut album Serotonin Syndrome. Before it lands later this week, Exclaim! is happy to premiere a full stream of the album.
The album's 13 tracks demonstrate everything this band's capable of, with freaky, scuzzed-out sci-fi punk anthems that touch on the Spits, Danzig and Gary Numan among more aggressive sounds. All in all, the album's a relentless blast that'll have you fist-pumping and singing along along for days.
PMMA will celebrate the arrival of Serotonin Syndrome with a pair of Alberta shows this weekend. They'll hit Edmonton's DV8 on November 13 and Calgary's Tubby Dog on Saturday, November 14 at Tubby Dog. Their LP is being released through Imminent Destruction, and can be streamed in full below.
