Over the weekend, a load of people got disproportionately pissed at Phoebe Bridgers for smashing her guitar at the end of her SNL performance, and yesterday, David Crosby offered his own criticism for the indie-rock singer, calling her rock'n'roll efforts "pathetic."
Now, Bridgers has hit back with her own insult, referring to the endlessly opinionated Crosby as a "little bitch" in a Twitter thread.
While the internet remains divided into two camps — pro-smash and anti-smash — Crosby seems to belong firmly in another camp, where he has chosen to talk incessant smack about Bridgers in general, calling her skeleton outfit "distracting" and describing her onstage antics as "wrong."
"I am told that wasn't a very good night for her and she's really quite good," Crosby wrote of Bridgers' performance in a tweet. "I could not see it or hear it then ...the skeleton costumes were kind of distracting as well ...the guitar thing was old, wrong, copy cat, looks angry, destructive, wasteful, pointless."
The two musicians' argument is mostly pointless also, but watching from the sidelines as both their fandoms hurl insults at each other is, at least, mildly entertaining.
