After announcing he had signed the project to Polyvinyl at the top of this year, David Bazan has now detailed his first effort for the label as Pedro the Lion.

Titled Phoenix, the 13-track effort arrives through the group's new label home next year on January 18. It marks the first album from Pedro the Lion since 2004's Achilles Heel.

Of his decision to revive the project following a solo stint, Bazan explained, "I had abandoned my natural way of working in the hopes of creating space for a consistent band to write with...and it hadn't worked. So I got a rehearsal space, mic'd up drums, bass, and guitar, and really leaned into my original process again. It immediately felt like like home. Before long I realized it also felt like Pedro the Lion."

Alongside the announcement, the band have shared single "Yellow Bike," which comes accompanied by a video. You can watch the Jason Lester-directed clip in the player below.

Furthermore, Pedro the Lion have lined up a new series of North American dates. Following a run of shows next month, the band will start another tour in February, with the group playing Vancouver on February 24.
