Pressed — a coffeehouse and live music venue in Ottawa — is closing its doors for good after initially going up for sale in September.
The Ottawa Citizen reports that Pressed will close a month after owner Karie Ford announced the establishment was on the market, having not found a buyer in the midst of pandemic-driven uncertainty surrounding the foodservice industry.
Opened in Ottawa's Centretown neighbourhood in 2011, Pressed played host to musical talent including Rae Spoon, Jeremy Fisher, WHOOP-Szo, Odonis Odonis, Charlotte Cornfield, Mauno, Basement Revolver, Pharmakon, Pony Girl, Nap Eyes, Monomyth, Astral Swans, and many more.
