Musicians or menaces? That's what a handful of Vancouver's finest most overzealous authorities are trying to figure out about post-punk trio Other Jesus in the new music video for the band's "Modern Art." Inspiring awe and ire, their rooftop performance can be witnessed online now, thanks to some recently unearthed police footage.
The vid finds a somewhat aloof Other Jesus doing their thing from the top of a Vancity building, playing a song that takes a look at the meaning of post-post modernism, Dada and more. As this goes on, crowds of adoring fans litter the streets to take a look at the impromptu show.
Elsewhere, we see a couple questionable cops accidentally tackle a singer-songwriter, while various city officials try to figure out just how to deal with the threat of Other Jesus.
The video was directed by Slam Dunk's Jordan "Dr. Cool" Minkoff. It features a few outrageous cut-and-paste jobs, cameos from members of Peace and Cindy Lee, and a smooch-tastic finale. You can stream it down below.
