OMBIIGIZI — the connecting thread between Adam Sturgeon (Status/Non-Status) and Daniel Monkman (Zoon) — have begun to tease their follow-up to 2022's Sewn Back Together, sharing a new single called "Ziibi."

The track is about the Red River that flows through Manitoba; "It's a very long river all the way from the Mississippi," Monkman explained. "I grew up along the shore of that river looking into it. Watching as it would swallow up all our bikes and skateboards. My first realization of how powerful the elements are," adding that, "The river teaches us."

It's the latest taste of the record we first learned about just over one year ago (when Monkman busted out the Pinegrove shuffle to reveal that they had begun recording the as-yet-unnamed album).

The sophomore effort is expected in late 2024. For now, you can check out "Ziibi" below.
