L.A. hardcore crew Obliterations are gearing up for a big 2014, having just announced that they've inked up with well-loved metal label Southern Lord to deliver a full-length debut.
The union was revealed today (January 14) in a press release, confirming that the band will follow up a pair of 7-inch releases with a full-length. Few details have been shared beyond that, but the group will track the set this coming March at Dave Grohl's Studio 606 in Los Angeles before heading out on a to-be-detailed tour.
As previously reported, Obliterations will deliver their second 7-inch single later this month through the Volcom Entertainment Vinyl Club, though a week later than originally anticipated. While the band tweeted back in December that the record, dubbed The Hole, was to land on January 14, it will now arrive next Tuesday (January 21).
Obliterations' ranks include current Black Mountain/Pink Mountaintops leader Stephen McBean on guitar and members of Saviours, Bluebird and Night Horse. Their debut 7-inch arrived last fall through Outer Battery Records.
