Following their debut 2013 7-inch, L.A. hardcore revivalists Obliterations will release their second 7-inch slab of fury early next year via Volcom.
Not much has been unveiled behind the record, from cover art to a tracklisting, but Obliterations recently confirmed over Facebook that the EP arrives January 14 via the entertainment company's Vinyl Club. Previous entries in the series have been served up by the likes of Torche, Turbonegro and Andrew W.K.
It's unclear at present if the tracks that will appear on Obliterations' next vinyl release will include any of the six songs guitarist Stephen McBean (of Black Mountain/Pink Mountaintops fame) had previously told Exclaim! they had recorded with producer Joe Cardamone (the Icarus Line) last spring. McBean had said at the time that the tracks would be split up between a pair of EPs.
While the details on the upcoming 7-inch are slim at best, the band reported today (December 27) over Twitter that there is even more material on the way, with writing sessions for a debut full-length starting up shortly.
