New Chance — the experimental pop project from songwriter and producer Victoria Cheong — has shared an animated video for last year's "To the Edge."
The video was illustrated by artist and filmmaker Seth Scriver, and it's dedicated to Scriver's niece, who took her own life in 2013. In a statement from Scriver about the video, he said that "Jessica was only 16, and had been saving up for a motorcycle at the time. R.I.P. lil Jess!"
The video sees a young woman hitting the road on a motorcycle built from pulsing eyeballs as she passes a cast of curious travellers and some barren landscapes.
In her own statement about the visual, Cheong said: "Seth's video captures the expansive freedom-seeking spirit of the song. An empty road at the edge of day beckons us toward the stars."
