Mo Kenney has detailed their fifth studio album. The Nova Scotia singer-songwriter will share From Nowhere independently on September 6.
Following 2021's collection of Covers, Kenney's latest is previewed today by "Evening Dream," a resolute folk rocker that finds the JUNO-nominated artist comfortably letting go of love as the sun sets.
"This song is about a romance that just wasn't meant to be," Kenney shares of "Evening Dream," adding, "Reminiscing about it and wishing them well. Reflecting on things that have happened and processing it all. The bittersweet process of losing a love, but knowing and accepting that it is for the best."
Joining Kenney on the album are some of the artist's "nearest and dearest" collaborators in Joel Plaskett, Rose Cousins, Victoria Cameron, Siobhan Martin and Jordan Murphy.
From Nowhere was recorded, mixed and engineered by Thomas Stajcer at Plaskett's Fang Studios in Dartmouth, NS.
Kenney has also shared tour dates behind the album set for summer and fall. Dates in the Maritimes will give way to a short trek through Ontario in September. You can find the artist's itinerary below, with further ticket details available via Kenney's official website.
