Missy Elliott has dropped a video for her latest ICONOLOGY single "Why I Still Love You," and it features her as the leader of a decade-spanning girl group — the Demeanors.
The clip sees a young girl getting a history lesson on Missy's career at an art gallery. The paintings come to life, showing Missy & the Demeanors performing in the 1960s, '70s and into the '80s.
They go from soul to disco to punk pretty seamlessly on the screen, which perhaps is a metaphor for Missy's retreat from rapid-fire rapping and foray into R&B.
