Method Man Wrote a Christmas-themed 'Ghost Rider' Comic for Marvel

If a cameo in Netflix's Luke Cage series wasn't enough to show that Method Man is a comic book head, his latest team-up with comics giant Marvel certainly proves the point. The Wu-Tang Clan MC has penned a Christmas-themed Ghost Rider comic that was released digitally on Wednesday (December 14.)

Marvel's website reveals that Meth's comic finds the younger brother of Ghost Rider Robbie Reyes getting teased at school for having too much Christmas spirit. The seasonal apathy makes the children of Los Angeles perfect targets for the evil Krampus, setting the stage for a battle between him and Reyes.

"The conversation between hip-hop and Marvel continues as one of rap's most storied lyricists takes the Hell Charger out for a ride," Marvel editor-in-chief Axel Alonso told Complex. "In Ghost Rider X-mas Special, the legendary Method Man sets up a classic conflict between Robbie Reyes, the current Ghost Rider, and Krampus, a mythic creature who's perhaps best described as the anti-Santa. Will it be a merry Christmas? Read and find out."

The comic was illustrated by Anthony Piper and Balak. Marvel also unleashed their latest batch of hip-hop-superhero album art crossovers, paying tribute to Kanye West, Jay Z, Vic Mensa and more.
