For the limited few who have yet to disavow the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, it's a moderately exciting news day, as this year's induction ceremony performers and presenters have been revealed — sort of.
Without naming who is a performer and who will merely be presenting, the institution has revealed existing inductees James Taylor, Dr. Dre, Slash, Sammy Hagar and Roger Daltrey will all make appearances.
Dua Lipa is the only name with a set task so far, as she will "celebrate 2024 inductee Cher," who must have changed her mind about the Rock and Roll HOF industrial complex. Other people yet to be inducted who will take the stage include Demi Lovato, Keith Urban, the Roots, Busta Rhymes, Method Man, Jelly Roll, Kenny Chesney, Ella Mai, Lucky Daye and Mac McAnally.
Besides Cher, Mary J. Blige, Dave Matthews Band, Foreigner, Peter Frampton, Kool & the Gang, Ozzy Osbourne and A Tribe Called Quest are all being inducted at the ceremony, taking place on October 19. Jimmy Buffett, MC5, Dionne Warwick and Norman Whitfield will also receive the Musical Excellence Award.
