Kanye West, Jay Z and Vic Mensa Album Covers Get Marvel Variant Makeovers

Marvel has a rich history of putting superhero spins on beloved hip-hop album covers, and the comics giant has just unveiled another round of variant covers. This time it's Kanye West, Jay Z and Vic Mensa whose album artwork has been reworked and transported to the Marvel Universe.

West's The Life of Pablo gets reimagined as the product of Captain Marvel's Carol Danvers (a.k.a. Ms. Marvel). It comes complete with some updated animated family photos, but the god-awful MS paint job aesthetic remains in tact.

Jay Z's American Gangster also got the comic book treatment, starring Elektra in place of Hova, with the album title updated to Ninja Assassin.

Vic Mensa's There's a Lot Going On is the final record in this round of reveals to be given a Marvel rework this round, and the rapper's target-wearing body has been swapped out for Bullseye and the album title There's a Lot Being Thrown.

The updated versions of the album artwork were created by Jenny Frison, Keron Grant and Tim Bradstreet, respectively. Check out the final products below.
