Adult Swim's summer Singles Program has apparently shifted the due dates for its remaining freebies, as fretboard-wrecking guitar goddess Marnie Stern's new track "This Was It" has jumped the queue ahead of schedule.
While according to the Adult Swim page, we were due for a new tune from Lil B, the Based God's spot has been supplanted by a Stern's tapestry of heady hammer-ons, discordant twin-guitar melodies, and chipper, live-in-the-moment lyrics like "I don't ever want to go back to the way it used to be."
While the track itself won't be downloadable until this Monday (August 12), you can stream "This Was It" down below via Spin.
If all goes according to plan, Stern's single will be followed by offerings from Lil B, Captain Murphy with Viktor Vaughan, Andy Stott, Pig Destroyer and, finally, Miguel.
