Victoria band Loving have shared a dreamy new track called "Visions" from their upcoming debut full-length album, which will arrive via Last Gang Records. And while no release date has been revealed just yet, the group will be taking the album out on a North American tour.
On their new song, Loving lyricist Jesse Henderson has this to say: "The song dwells on a question: that if our lives, what we pursue, or even desire, are often shaped or determined by forces beyond us — what kinds of freedom can we find within that?"
The audio for "Visions" can be heard below.
Alongside their new track, Loving have also announced a North American fall tour, including stops in Calgary on October 9 and Edmonton on October 10.
Their full tour itinerary can be viewed below.
According to the band — comprising David Parry and brothers Lucas and Jesse Henderson — Loving "came together several years ago as a result of shared summers working in the capitalist ruins of BC's forests."
"Visions" marks the second Loving track released in 2019, with the first being "Nihilist Kite Flyer" back in May. The band's last release was 2016's Loving.
