Now that the classic Liturgy lineup is back together and ready to roll out a new LP, the black metal explorers have revealed they'll be taking their new tunes out on the road throughout the spring.
The band's newly revealed tour schedule shows that the road trip starts in early April, not long after The Ark Work hit stores March 24 through Thrill Jockey. Though a 10-show stretch in April concentrates on the U.S. market, Liturgy will blast their way to Montreal in June for a set at the city's Bar le Ritz.
You'll find info on all of the group's upcoming shows down below.
As previously reported, The Ark Work is Liturgy's first album in four years. The collection reunites founder Hunter Hunt-Hendrix and guitarist Bernard Gann with bassist Tyler Dusenbury and drummer Greg Fox following a few years apart. The set is said to find the act tweaking their self-described "transcendental black metal" by adding bagpipes, glockenspiel, glitchy electronics and "occult-oriented rap."
You'll find a stream of first single "Quetzalcoatl" beneath the tour dates.
UPDATE: Liturgy have now extended their tour and added Lightning Bolt as an opener for several dates. You can see the updated schedule below.
