Animal Collective's new audiovisual album Tangerine Reef has officially landed. As such, you can stream the entire effort now.
Tangerine Reef was made in collaboration with Miami-based art-science duo Coral Morphologic.
In a statement, AC bro Brian Weitz (a.k.a Geologist) said the following: "Symbiosis is inherent in [Coral Morphologic's] work. They are a modern day Jean Painlevé — using living organisms they cultivate in their lab as the source for their art, while simultaneously creating an interest in those creatures outside of that context."
Tangerine Reef is out now through Domino, and you can hear the audio component down below. The full-length film portion of the release can be experienced at myanimalhome.net.
