Keeping up with what the Gallagher brothers are up to is enough to give any reader whiplash, but we can't say we didn't see this one coming. Liam Gallagher has told his X (formerly Twitter) followers that Noel Gallagher is not down to come on his Definitely Maybe anniversary tour.
As previously reported, Liam will do a quick jaunt around the UK and Ireland next year to celebrate 30 years of Oasis's debut, which he called "the most important album of the '90s bar none." And in the least surprising news ever, Noel is being kind of an angry squirt about it.
When a fan asked Liam if he would deliver the surprise that Noel was actually going to join the tour, the musician responded, "He's been asked and he's refused."
Shortly before that, Liam replied to another fan who posted "Not without @NoelGallagher" in response to the tour news, saying, "You'll be missed x." Someone should let this fan know that, at the very least, Oasis rhythm guitarist Bonehead will definitely maybe be on the tour.
Despite some rumours of an Oasis reunion floating around earlier this year — coming from the mouth of Liam himself, no less — the Gallaghers have been publicly marding on and off. After Liam claimed Noel was calling him "begging for forgiveness" and suggesting he had a lot to make up for before a reunion could happen, Noel finally squashed the reunion rumours after calling his brother a "coward."
We would say we wonder how Matty Healy of the 1975 feels about this, but we're sure he'll come out of the woodwork to give his unsolicited opinion eventually.
