Richmond, VA groove metal masters Lamb of God are releasing their seventh studio album, Resolution, today (January 24) via Epic/Sony. If you're looking for a preview, though, you can stream the entire record, exclusively in Canada for one week, right here at Exclaim.ca.
Resolution follows Lamb of God's career retrospective anthology Hourglass, and their 2009 Grammy-nominated Wrath, which debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 chart. Featuring 14 new songs recorded at various studios in Virginia and New York, the new album was produced by Josh Wilbur and is their most musically ambitious to date.
Right from the start with the sludge-infused "Straight for the Sun," Resolution is an onslaught of the unrelenting, thrash-influenced Southern heavy metal that Lamb of God do best, but with a twist. Mixing things up a bit, the band brought in a symphony, as well as an opera singer for final track "King Me," which finishes the album on an epic note.
Listen to it for yourself by streaming Lamb of God's Resolution below, but hurry because it's only available until midnight EST on January 30, and is accessible by Canadian residents only. A deluxe edition and regular edition of Resolution can also be purchased via Amazon now.
