Reports have indicated that grunge-y riot grrrl pioneers L7 may soon be chronicled with an upcoming documentary, and while we don't have any new news about that, we have received word that the long-defunct band will be reissuing their 1992 album Bricks Are Heavy.
The exact details of the reissue have yet to be confirmed, but an announcement from the Runt label group explains that the LP will be pressed on 180-gram heavyweight vinyl sometime in 2014.
Beyond that, we're not sure if the album will include any bonus content or fancy packaging. According to Discogs' listings, there has been a distinct lack of new pressings for Bricks Are Heavy in the last 20 years.
Produced by famed alt-rock producer Butch Vig, the LP was the band's commercial breakthrough, scoring a spot on the Billboard charts and spawning the single "Pretend We're Dead."
As for the possible documentary, L7's Donita Sparks told Diffuser.fm last year that something is in the works.
