While prolific garage rock guy King Khan delivered the free online mixtape The King Khan Experience last fall, it's been quite some time since we heard anything from his big band experience, the Shrines. Well, the drought is over, now that the outfit has unveiled it's latest number, "Bite My Tongue," which'll pop up on a split seven-inch with Mikal Cronin on February 10 via Bruise Cruise.
Driven by an ultra-bouncy bass line and a golden, soul-smooched horn section, the slightly psychedelic garage romper finds the usually outrageous Khan willing to keep his opinions to himself for the sake of love. "I'll keep my mouth shut for you," he spits with sultry swagger. Check it out below.
