Last month, Kim Gordon announced her sophomore solo album The Collective and shared the blown-out, trap-indebted single “BYE BYE.” It was cool as shit, and now we get another taste of the record with “I’m a Man.”
Described as Gordon “[ruminating] on the lost role of ‘traditional masculinity’ and the role of capitalism in its demise,” the song is another aggressive slab of churning guitar and blade-like beats.
“I’m a Man” comes attached to another video starring Gordon’s daughter, Coco Gordon Moore, this time helmed by Listen Up Philip and Her Smell director Alex Ross Perry. Check it out below.
The Collective arrives March 8 on Matador.
