After collaborating with Kaytranada on this year's Boshido EP, k-os has returned with some new solo material in the form of a single titled "SUPERNOVAS."
The funk-forward track was pieced together from an old demo that k-os said "sliced his ears like disco lasers" upon discovery. Fittingly, k-os managed to secure production work from fellow Canadian music vets, MSTRKRFT, after the demo was unearthed on a drive from Vancouver to Toronto.
According to a release, "SUPERNOVAS" is about "rediscovering roots and reconnecting with the people and places that fueled the music from when it all began."
As k-os explained in a statement, "I'm clearly a citizen of Toronto. It's my home and my inspiration. I 'came back' and fell in love with the city all over again."
In addition to the single's release, k-os has launched a new IGTV interview series. Upcoming guests on the show include Haviah Mighty, Chastity and Riverdale's Rob Rocco. Head to his Instagram account for more details.
