Jasmine Trails has just dropped a brand new video for "Alive and Well," the lead single from the Ottawa-area artist's forthcoming EP. The self-titled mini-release arrives early next year on February 7 via AWAL.

On her new record, Jasmine Trails — the project helmed by 20-year-old songwriter Allie O'Manique (f.k.a. Trails) — switched things up and began favouring synths and keys over guitar. In the studio, she collaborated with artists like Little Scream's Pascal Delaquis, Shadowhand's Jamieson Mackay and Hilotrons' Mike Dubue (who engineered, produced and arranged all songs on the EP).

"With the band, I'm able to make such a bigger sound, and I'm so happy because I feel fulfilled by the music," O'Manique said in a statement. "Before was a much more isolated and vulnerable experience. I was ready for a change — to start making the music I wanted to hear coming from myself. Now I feel empowered onstage. I definitely feel more powerful."
