Organizers of the BeaverTails Ottawa Ice Dragon Boat Festival have detailed this year's Live @ the Rainbow free concert series, which is due to take over the nation's capital from February 2 to 19.
The ongoing fest, presented in conjunction with the second IIDBF World Club Crew Ice Dragon Boat Championships, is to be hosted by local live music staple the Rainbow Bistro. Headlining performers include Chris Murphy of Sloan, Elliott BROOD and Dizzy, who are set to play behind their self-titled LP that garnered a spot among Exclaim!'s top 50 albums of 2023.
They'll receive support from a mostly Canadian slate of performers, including Wintersleep, JJ Wilde, OMBIIGIZI, Rare Americans, Joel Plaskett, Brother Elsey, Chemical Club, Craig Cardiff, Dunner, the Hallions, Jasmine Trails, M.T. Walker, Nick Posthumus & the Soft Maybes, Sarah Swire and summersets.
A slew of local acts like Pony Girl, Steph La Rochelle, Stoby, The New Hires, Neon Ghosthouse, Loon Choir, F!TH, fanclubwallet, Bastards and the Buzzards and Alanna Sterling will also join the festivities.
Since all concerts are free, no tickets or passes are required to attend any of the shows. For the complete schedule and further programming information, check out the Ottawa Ice Dragon Boat Festival's official website.
