When they're not teaming up with Marvel for a new merchandise line or getting teaching professionals in trouble with the PTA, you may remember that Iron Maiden spend a great deal of time making music. They actually released a new album, Senjutsu, earlier this year — and now they've announced their plans to take it on the road.
After frontman Bruce Dickinson completes his own tour around Canada and the States early next year, Iron Maiden will hop on another tour bus in September, kicking off with a pair of shows in Texas. They'll work their way up through the US in October, landing themselves at Toronto's Scotiabank Arena on October 11. They'll then hit up Hamilton's FirstOntario Centre the following night (October 12), before heading out to Ottawa for a concert at the Canadian Tire Centre on the 15th. The tour will come to a close in Florida at the end of the month.
"Next summer we will finally get to play the huge European stadium tour for the Legacy of the Beast, and the new show will be even more spectacular," manager Rod Smallwood said in a statement. "So after our visit to Rock In Rio early September 2022, we decided to take it back to our fans in North America too, but in cities or venues we didn't play in 2019, including some we haven't visited in many years, like El Paso, Spokane, Sioux Falls, Columbus, Hamilton, Ottawa and Greensboro."
Smallwood also promised "all the 'hits' and the key elements of the original tour," including "flamethrowers and pyro and the rest," adding, "but we will shake it up a bit and Trooper Eddie will have serious competition in the new Senjutsu 'world' we are adding."
Dickinson added: "I'm really excited about the new additions and changes to the stage production and we can't wait for everyone to see what we've got planned. The whole band has really enjoyed the Legacy tour and now we just can't wait [to] get back out on the road to play live, have fun and see everyone again."
Tickets for the tour can be obtained through Ticketmaster's Verified Fan platform starting today and will run through to December 5 at 10 p.m. ET. Further presales will open and close throughout the following days, with general sales opening up on December 10 at 10 a.m. local time. Find more details here.
