Former Hey Rosetta! frontman Tim Baker hinted at a solo album last year, earning a spot on Exclaim!'s 22 Most Anticipated Canadian Albums of 2019 list, and now the Newfoundland singer-songwriter has details plans for his debut LP. Forever Overhead will arrive on April 19 via Arts & Crafts.
The tracklist includes previously teased songs "Dance" and "Spirit," as well as new tunes like "Hideaway," "The Eighteenth Hole" and "Our Team."
According to a press release, the collection of songs is "centered on kinship and the complexities of human connection."
The album was produced by Marcus Paquin, and it features instrumentation from the likes of Liam O'Neill (Suuns) and Ben Whiteley (the Weather Station), as well as Mishka Stein and Joe Grass (Patrick Watson).
Following a year of roadtesting the new songs, Baker will hit the road once again, touring the new album this spring across Canada. See the full tracklisting for Forever Overhead below, as well as Baker's upcoming live schedule.
