Harlan Pepper Call It Quits

BY Sarah MurphyPublished Aug 6, 2015

Folksy Hamilton four-piece Harlan Pepper have been charming listeners and live crowds alike for the last eight years, but the group announced last night (August 5) via Facebook that they're packing it in.

During their time as a band, Harlan Pepper drew acclaim for their rootsy, old-soul songwriting on their debut album Young and Old. They followed it up with the carpe diem attitude of Take Out a $20 and Live Life to the Fullest.

The band are planning to celebrate their time together with a final hometown gig, though details have yet to be finalized.

You can read the band's full farewell message below. Scroll past that to relive their rendition of "Soulless Boogie" on Exclaim! TV.

Hey Folks,

After 8 years of fun filled rock n' roll, we've decide to call it a day as Harlan Pepper. Thanks to all the amazing musicians/people we've met along the way, the folks at Front Room Entertainment, Six Shooter Records and Paquin for all your support!

To celebrate the bodacious times we've shared over the last few years we're gonna throw down one more time for all the fine folks in the hammer.

Keep your eyes and ears peeled for information regarding our farewell show.

Love, Peace and Chicken Grease,

Harlan T. Pepper
