Montreal indie rockers Half Moon Run have shared a pair of new singles recorded in isolation, titled "You Won't" and "Look Me in the Eyes (Skitstövel)" — the latter of which has been treated to a new music video.

The songs were originally recorded as one single, with "You Won't" initially serving as the intro. The band eventually divided the recording into two separate songs after they felt that the "dream-like meditation" of "You Won't" deserved its own track.

Its counterpart has since been treated to a physically-distanced visual release. The video for "Look Me in the Eyes (Skitstövel)" was directed by the band's own Dylan Phillips.

He said in a statement that "having all this extra time in isolation gave us the chance to learn some new skills," and that the band have been able to open up extra time to "experiment with things we previously never really had the time to try."

The pair of releases feature some of the final appearances of the band's Isaac Symonds, who announced his departure from the group earlier this year.

On Monday (June 29), Half Moon Run took home the Juno Award for Adult Alternative Album of the Year for their 2019 record A Blemish in the Great Light.
