November has nearly left us. With year-end list season about to be in full swing, music releases are finally gearing up to slow down for the holidays — but not without a few last-minute contenders for the best of 2024 in this week's crop of the best new Canadian music.
Half Moon Run are closing off the year by tying up some "Loose Ends," while Boslen is reminiscing on the music that raised him with "Whitney." Housewife has also done something immensely satisfying by (finally) releasing a song called "Divorce."
This week in album releases, Ruby Singh has teamed up with an array of Indigenous, Inuit, Black and South Asian voices for the a cappella collection Vox.Infold II. World News — who were recently announced as one of the acts for Exclaim!'s Class of 2025 concert series — also have a new EP.
Elsewhere, Tariq previews an upcoming EP of his own with new single "Architect's Studio," while Atsuko Chiba's Karim Lakhdar launched his hip-hop side-project, Boutique Feelings.
