Your literary collection is about to get splattered with blood and god knows what else, since shock-rock scumdogs Gwar are releasing a book. The tome is called Let There Be GWAR, and it will be out on September 30.
The book was put together by Bob Gorman and Roger Gastman, the former of whom has been working for the band since the '80s and has been archiving Gwar history since 1997. The result is a 350-page book with a lenticular cover that covers 30 years of history.
The book traces the band from their '80s origins to their success in the '90s and beyond. It includes first-hand accounts, interviews, rare photos and images and more. It's described in an announcement as "the most monstrous book since The Necronomicon."
Let There Be GWAR is available to pre-order here for $59.95 USD ($72.16 CAD).
Meanwhile, the band have been facing a lawsuit from former frontman Dave Brockie's father over the late singer's artwork, bass guitars and cremated remains.
