Professional sports may be limited to due COVID-19 here at home, but south of the border, Major League Baseball is warming up its bases — and its seats. Last night in Buffalo, the Blue Jays played against the Miami Marlins, and won, perhaps due in part to the support of a very special seat-warmer.
Even though sports fans couldn't attend the game at Buffalo's Sahlen Field last night, season ticket veteran Geddy Lee showed up in a different way — in the form of a cardboard cutout.
The Rush frontman was spotted near the home plate amongst other pulp-based fans, and even had a "pre-game chat" with Caleb Joseph.
Aside from Lee, the game was attended by cutout versions of New York Governor Andrew Cuomo (seated next to Lee), as well as the viral "home plate lady."
