UK indie rock outfit Foals return with their latest LP What Went Down later this week, but first, they're giving fans another sneak preview of the album with a video for "London Thunder."

Talking about the meaning behind the slower, more sombre-sounding song to Mashable, where the video premiered, frontman Yannis Philippakis said: "We've been to a lot of airports over the last few years, and sometimes there's this cool melancholy to an airport at a certain hour of the evening. It's about being away and having some sort of experience that changes you, and waiting to return, knowing that the world you're returning to will be subtly different because you are."

The clip features grainy black-and-white CCTV footage and was filmed live in the south of France at Studios La Fabrique.

The band previously shared an album sampler for What Went Down, which officially arrives on August 28 via Warner Bros./Transgressive Records. To make the wait a bit more enjoyable, check out the clip for "London Thunder" below.
