First Day of OVO Fest Cancelled Due to Frank Ocean's Torn Vocal Cord

Last week, beloved R&B performer Frank Ocean was forced to cancel his Australian tour due to a tear in his vocal cords. Now, he's been forced to step down from the first day of Drake's OVO Fest.

Ocean was scheduled to headline the Toronto event on August 4, and that night at the Molson Amphitheatre has now been scrapped altogether. According to Live Nation, ticketholders for that evening will be reimbursed. Meanwhile, James Blake will now perform on the second night of the fest, which takes place on August 5.

The show also includes appearances from Drake and Wale, and if past years are any indication, it will also include numerous surprise guests.

No word yet on when Ocean will have recovered from his torn vocal cord. The artist has been slowly working on his upcoming sophomore album.

UPDATE: As you'd expect, Ocean has also now officially cancelled his appearance at Montreal's Osheaga fest, which said it is "working extremely hard to find a replacement."
