There's just shy of 200 days to go before the start of this year's Heavy Montreal, and organizers have begun to detail just who all will be at the outdoor fest this summer. So far, there's only one band to list, but it's a biggie. Making their way to Montreal will be reunited rockers Faith No More.
Organizers revealed this morning (January 22) that Mike Patton and the rest of the band have been booked to play the annual event, which will run August 7 to 9 at Parc Jean-Drapeau. It's an unclear at present which day Faith No More will play. Additional artists will be revealed in the months to come.
As previously reported, the band issued the "Motherfucker" single late last year, marking the first new music from the group since 1997's Album of the Year LP. Though details have yet to arrive in full, it had been reported that Faith No More will deliver a new album this April through Patton's own Ipecac Recordings imprint.
