Fresh off the release of last month's single "Overlord," Dirty Projectors have announced a new EP. Windows Open is coming this Friday (March 27) via Domino.
The EP is the first release of new Dirty Projectors material to feature the band's new lineup, as seen on their 2018/19 world tour (in support of 2018 album Lamp Lit Prose) and 2019 live album Sing the Melody. One of those new additions, vocalist/guitarist/percussionist Maia Friedman, takes lead vocal duties on all the EP's tracks.
You can hear Friedman's vocals on new EP single "Search for Life," which features DP's signature mildly glitching guitars and strings beneath Friedman's rich, inquisitive vocals.
"Search for Life" and "Overlord" will both appear on Windows Open. Look below for the EP's full tracklist and the "Search for Life" lyric video.
