Deftones and Quicksand bassist Sergio Vega is letting fans get their hands on a piece of metal history with his new Reverb gear shop.
Vega is selling everything from basses to FX rigs to amps that have been used on tour and in the studio for a decade of Deftones recordings — from 2010's Diamond Eyes to 2020's Ohms. As of press time, the bassist has 85 items listed in his shop on the world's largest online instrument marketplace, including suites of Fender Jaguar basses and Fender Squier Bass VIs.
The collection also boasts a Fractal Axe FX-II and Axe FX-II XL+ dual setup — complete with pedals that "still contain all of my presets and patches throughout the years," according to Vega. All kinds of exclusive memorabilia like tour posters and the wardrobe cases he used while touring around the world are available too.
"This stuff is very dear to me," the musician said, noting the meticulous maintenance that has upheld the instruments and gear. "I've used these things for the past 10-plus years."
"The only reason I'm getting rid of [this gear] is because I find myself not using [it] as much," he explained. "And also, as you acquire more gear, you want to make space for that gear," adding that he's looking forward to his stuff "finding good homes — and hopefully they're with you."
The collection ranges in price from about $26 CAD for a set of Dunlop bass strings to the aforementioned Fractal rig and a Fender Jazz bass, listed for $2,877 each.

Last year, Vega's Deftones bandmate Chino Moreno blamed guitarist Stephen Carpenter's anti-vax conspiracies on weed and the Weeknd revealed the band's influence on Trilogy. In other merchandising enterprises, the metal titans introduced their own White Pony Tequila.
