After treating Ancient Shapes' Silent Rave to a wider reissue last year, Daniel Romano has lifted the curtain on a new album from the project.
The group, which also features David Nardi, Vee Bell, Roddy Rosetti and Ian Romano, will release new album A Flower That Wouldn't Bloom through You've Changed Records on October 25.
Thirteen tracks in length, A Flower That Wouldn't Bloom is said to feature songs from two recording sessions that took place almost a full calendar year apart.
The "heated material" is said to touch on subjects such as "happiness, loneliness, togetherness, longing, acceptance, colonial guilt complexes and home town optimism." You can hear the effort's title track below.
Ancient Shapes have also announced a short tour of Canada alongside Teenanger. The six-date run will bring the bands to Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal, Sudbury, St. Catharines and London in October. You can find an itinerary below.
