Louisville, KY noise-rock annihilators Coliseum had themselves a monolithic 2013, what with the release of their Sister Faith, an onslaught of music video premieres, and a hearty tour schedule. Now, they're apparently set to gaze back at the not-too-distant past with an upcoming digital-only concert LP.
Details are still shaping up on the digital set, but Brooklyn Vegan reports that the as-yet-untitled effort lands on Coliseum's Bandcamp page on February 4. The band have not, however, confirmed the release on their end.
The show in question was recorded November 8 at Austin, TX's Red 7 venue as part of Fun Fun Fun Fest. Though a setlist has not yet popped up in full, the show apparently featured Pelican's Trevor de Brauw jamming onstage with Coliseum for a run-through of Sister Faith's crunched-up "Fuzzbang". You'll find the studio version via the skeleton-starring music video down below.
UPDATE: A representative for the band has confirmed that Coliseum Live in Austin TX will feature eight songs, with one being the aforementioned "Fuzzbang" collab with de Brauw. The concert was captured by Matt Hannigan, mixed by Will Allard (Xerxes, Whips/Chains), and mastered by Dan Coutant at Sun Room Audio.
Tour dates:
01/31 New York City, NY - Saint Vitus
