British electronic left-fielder Clark has been incredibly busy of late. Late last year, he delivered a self-titled LP, which he quickly followed up with his Winter Boots Part 1 release. He's been back in the studio again, apparently, as he's got another new EP on the way.
The release is called Flame Rave, and features four new songs from the long-running artist.
In a press release, Clark explained that the record was initially inspired by live performance, but he's soon come to appreciate them as home-listening tracks as well. He shared the following statement:
I started making these ravey tunes to play out at gigs, but they gathered a momentum and gradually formed this E.P. I came back to it again and again — it seemed to work in clubs but also as a sneaky, immersive headphone listen. I love the feel of an almost overwhelming percussive violence being suddenly flooded with heartache and melody. I find that dynamic exhilarating. I really wanted this E.P. to capture that. I hope you enjoy listening to it!
Warp will issue Flame Rave on March 23. The release's opener "Silver Sun" can be streamed below.
