Cadence Weapon is releasing a deluxe edition of his Polaris Music Prize-winning album Parallel World, and he's previewing it with a Loraine James remix of "On Me."
The rapper also known as Rollie Pemberton said in a statement, "Loraine James is one of my favourite artists, so I was overjoyed when she said she was down to do a remix for me. She's one of the most innovative electronic musicians in the UK. Loraine's interpretation of 'On Me' brings out the warped paranoia of targeted surveillance in a more trippy way than on the original."
This heady remix places Cadence Weapon's rapping atop of juddering, stuttering beats and airy synth textures. Like the original version, it features Manga Saint Hilare. Listen to it below.
Parallel World (Deluxe Edition) drops on March 25 via MNRK. Pemberton's memoir, Bedroom Rapper, follows on May 31.
