Brittany Howard — the inimitable force behind Alabama Shakes — signed to Island Records last month, announcing a few North American tour dates in the process. Now, the singer-songwriter has expanded her touring plans into 2024, including a lone Canadian stop in Toronto next February, arriving alongside tightly grooving new single "What Now."

UPDATE (11/1, 2:13 p.m. ET): Due to overwhelming demand, Howard has added a second Toronto date. Find that in bold below.

In a press release, Howard said, "'What Now' is maybe the truest and bluest of all the songs. It's never my design to hurt anyone's feelings, but I needed to say what was on my mind without editing myself. I like how it's a song that makes you want to dance, but at the same time, the lyrics are brutal."

Joined by L'Rain and Becca Mancari, she hits the road next month, starting in Birmingham, AL, on November 6. After some stateside dates and a set at Mexico City's Corona Capital Festival, Howard will take a break before picking things up again next year on February 6 in Chicago, IL. The artist will then venture to Canada for a performance at Toronto's Danforth Music Hall on February 9 before wrapping up the tour back in the US.

Thus far, the dates conclude on February 23 in Asheville, but Howard has indicated on social media that there may be more to come. Tickets for these shows go on sale next Friday (October 20), with presales starting Monday (February 16) at 10 a.m. local. Check out the "What Now" music video and the itinerary below.
