We may still be a week or so early from the actual summer solstice, but it feels like the season can rightfully begin now that the Canadian National Exhibition (CNE) has announced the first round of artists set to take the Bandshell Stage as the fair runs from August 16 to September 2.
Comeback kids Down with Webster and Halifax soft-rock lifers April Wine will be among the acts to headline, as well as Manchester Orchestra (who will make the CNE their only Canadian stop on their tour celebrating the 10th anniversary of Cope), Bahamas, Brittany Howard and MacKenzie Porter.
Those headliners will see support from Julian Taylor, Jeremie Albino, Nate Haller, dee holt, Moneen and Boston Levi, respectively. More performers are still yet to be announced — including a marquee opening day headliner — so stay tuned!
As always, the Bandshell concerts are free with CNE admission. Advance tickets are on sale now for $22.12 (plus a $2.99 transaction fee) here through until August 15.
