Fabolous has revealed what happened after he compared Beyoncé and her sister Solange in a throwaway line on a song.
The rapper appeared on The Breakfast Club this morning and admitted the Knowles sisters made him rethink the context of people's names in his songs after he spat the line, "If you can have Beyoncé, would you take Solange?"
"Sometimes you say punchlines or say things in music, and you may not even know any seriousness behind it, you're just trying to say something at the moment to catch attention," Fabolous explained.
He elaborated, saying Beyoncé later pulled him aside and "showed me that these are people" and that "something I say could personally hurt her."
After Bey showed him the error of his ways, Fabolous apologized to Solange the next time he saw her. As the hosts pointed out, he got lucky that the encounter didn't take place in an elevator.
"Beyoncé is graceful, man. Even her way of checking you is graceful," Fabolous concluded.
