Vancouver's Babe Corner Cover Gwen Stefani's "Cool"

Hear the group make the No Doubt singer's breakup song their own

Babe Corner made quite the impression earlier this year with their aptly named Killer EP, and now the jangly Vancouver guitar-pop crew are back with something new. Rather than deliver another original, though, the band have opted to take on Gwen Stefani's "Cool."

The song originally appeared on the No Doubt singer's 2005 debut solo album Love. Angel. Music. Baby. As Babe Corner's Lindsay Sjoberg explains, "Cool" was "the most comforting breakup song 2005 had to offer the world. "Filled with nostalgia, good vibes, and happy endings, this is how I'd want to approach any breakup with a partner or friend."

Babe Corner recorded the cover live off the floor at Vancouver's SAE Institute, with Ben McDuffie handling production.

You can hear Babe Corner's of "Cool" for yourself below, where you'll also find Stefani's original.
