Sludgy BC outfit Anion are gearing up to release a new EP this spring, and in preparation for the release, they have shared a crushing cut from the effort ahead of time.

Revolving around a wrecking ball of a riff, "God's Day Off" is a four-minute fusion of noise rock, grinding hardcore and sludge the band are recognized for. The song is taken from the forthcoming EP Fractions of Failure, recorded by Jesse Gander at Vancouver's Rain City Studios. Coming out on 7-inch, cassette and digitally, the release also marks the recording debut of vocalist Sean Bouchard and drummer Tristan Helgason (ex-Ghost of Modern Man, Molten Lava).

Fractions of Failure is set to arrive this spring through Winnipeg's No List Records. In the meantime, take a listen to the bludgeoning "God's Day Off" in the player below.
